NoTrolleys on the Main Course

Due to the volume of rain there is currently notrolleys allowed on the main course howevertrolleys and buggies can be used on the trackaround the Blenheim 9 hole Course. Keep a checkon the Main Website www.kirtlingtongolfclub.comfor daily updates on the status of the course oryou can call the Pro Shop.

Festive Challenges

Brett and the Greenkeeping team have been facedwith many challenges in the last couple ofweeks, along with the challenging mildconditions this winter which have kept themcutting more than they ever have done at thistime of year; they're also spending a hugeamount of time fixing bird damage as can be seenin this image!!!

Rule of the week 

My ball is plugged, what do I do?

This week's rule of the week revolves aroundwhat you should do when your ball has becomeplugged. 

This is extremely relevant for this time of yearespecially when we are not experiencing the coldtemperatures that we usually do to firm up theground.

Seniors December Medal 

On Thursday, 17 December a total of 48 Seniorscompeted in the Monthly Medal. 

Kevin Crumellhad the lowest gross (80) also winning Division1 and Chris McNultyhad the lowest nett in winning Division 2. FullResults were:

Tour to Portugal - Reminder The4th annual Seniors tour takes place from 10th to14th October next year. We are staying inVilamoura in the Algarve and will play threedifferent courses during the week. We would likeall players to consider this tour, which is theonly tour open to all members. Full details onthe notice board - just add your name or contactGerry Shaw with any questions. 

Message from the Seniors Captain- I would like to take the opportunity to thankthose who in my absence worked so hard to makethe Texas Scramble such a success this year.Lots of people worked hard to make the day asuccess but I particularly would like to mentionGraham Fullagerwho ran the day in my absence and RayHendren who although he wasunable to play, worked hard on the day. TheTGB Junior Golf Tour - Sunday 20th March 2016 

In March we have the Junior TGB Tour coming toKirtlington Golf Club. The TGB Junior Golf Tourwas established in 2014, by PGA ProfessionalThomas Blick. The main goal of TGB Junior GolfTour is to provide junior golfers between theages of four (4) and twenty one (21) with theopportunity to play a variety of golf courses ina competitive environment and gain valuabletournament experience.

In the first Weekend Medal of 2016 this was wonon countback in Division 1 by TomO'Donovan with a Net 65. Winner ofDivision 2 was Leon Slade witha Net 66 and the winner of Divison 3 with a Net69 was AndyHaines
