Summer, is that you?

Following an amazing final day at the Open onSunday summer looks to have finally arrived herewith some scorching weather conditions and justin time for the summer holidays! 

Many thanks to Pam for stepping inand producing the content in the newsletter lastweek, probably not a bad week to be off onholiday... 

Last week I was away golfing in La Cala nearMalaga Spain - fantastic venue to which I wouldhighly recommend to anyone looking for a golfbreak! 

Check out the 1st Hole of the America Course atLa Cala hitting off a 250ft elevated tee! 

As you can expect there is lots going on at theclub this week with the Seniors ClubChampionship being played today and tomorrow -good luck to everyone taking part in this!

Seniors Report 

Senior Club Matches - In theaway match against Witney Lakes LarryBlackwell(Vice-Captain) took on the captaincy in theabsence of the captain and presided over acomprehensive 5 - 1 victory to Kirtlington. 

Our winning combinations were Larry/Sid H, JimD/ Graham F, Jim L /David H, Ian G/Gerry s andPeter F/ Graham Ford (a excellent debut for thelast named).

August is a particularly busy time for matcheswith the seniors having 6 matches during thismonth.
