Hi All,
I hope you've all had a great week on and offthe golf course and welcome to another editionof the KGC Weekly Newsletter bringing you up todate with all the latest news from the club.
Winter Open
On Sunday we managed to beat the thaw and stageour second open competition of the winter. Itwas fantastic to see a total of 72 playersbraving the wet weather; this was an increase of22 players on the December Winter Open.
Of the 72 players this was made up of 55 membersand 17 visitors, with new visitors coming fromBrampton Heath, Buckingham, Cherwell Edge,Frilford Heath, Silverstone & Vale Golf& Country Club - it is great to see the newsof these winter opens spreading to other clubsand we appreciate the feedback being given.
Once again a big thank you to both and JonEdwards and GrahamFullagar for their help withthe scoring for members and visitors on MasterScoreboard.
With 55 members participating this meant we hada Voucher 1st Prize of £100mark which was fantastic tosee! £65 forSecond place and £45for third place. Members Top3 were as follows:
1st - John McEachran42 Pts, 2nd - Dave Carter42 Pts, 3rd - Paul Slade42 Pts
Visitors Top 3 were as follows:
1st - Marc O'Leary(Magnolia Park GC) 38 Points, 2nd - KenLuckman (Brampton Heath GC) 37Pts, 3rd - Michael Parker(Glen Gorse GC) 37 Pts.

The next winter open is on Sunday 26 February -you can now reserve your tee times in the ProShop for this. Following the success of theWinter Opens we have now added another one tothe calendar for Saturday 25 March!

Seniors January Medal
On Thursday 26 January a total of 40 seniorsbraved the conditions and took part in themonthly Medal. In sub-zero temperatures and abiting wind only one player TonyWhitlock managed to post abelow par nett score of 69 winning Division 2.
Tony Perrellaposted the lowest gross with a score of 83 whichgave him a nett score of 71 and he was beaten byone stroke in Division 1 by PeterFrench. The CSS for thecompetition was 72.
Full results were: Div. 1 1st - Peter French86 - 16 70, 2nd - Tony Perella83 -12 71, 3rd Chris McNulty91 - 17 74 (cb) Div. 2 1st - Tony Whitlock88 -19 69, 2nd Derek Breaker100 - 24 76 (cb), 3rd Ian Taylor99 - 23 76 (cb)
