MastersSweepstake
The Masters once again lived up to expectationwith the course looking fantastic; it was greatto see such great golf and a worthy champion. Inour first Masters Sweepstake that we have heldin the Pro Shop the £150first prize Pro Shop Voucher was won by NickHumpreys who picked SergioGarcia.
The unlucky runner up that picked out JustinRose was Lawrence Whitney;as a consolation he received some Pro V1 GolfBalls. A big thankyou to all those that tookpart in this, we will look to run more of thesethroughout the year with the next Major beingthe US Open at Milwaukee in June.
KirtlingtonMasters
After the Masters in Augusta we now turn ourattention to the big one and the KirtlingtonMasters! Stefan McGarry is the defendingchampion, but who will come out on top in 2017?
Closing date is Sunday 23 April @ 12pm. Thisyear Brett will also be running a MastersWeekend 2's Competition, £2entry for the two days - sign up/pay atreception.

In the Midweek Medal on Wednesday 5 April saw 38players taking part. The top 3 were as follows:

Ladies Section
On Saturday 8 April in the Ladies EG Medal thiswas won by Margaret Moggridge with a Nett 72(Lowest Gross 88) in second place was Judith CarrNett 73. On Tuesday 11 April 14 ladiesparticipated in the Medal, this was won by LindaWalton Nett 73, 2nd Margeret Bowen and in 3rdplace was Elaine Hunt Nett 74.
Seniors Report70 competitors took advantage of the fine weatherto contest the Seniors Stableford on Thursday 6thApril. Some excellent scores were recorded yetagain. In Division 1, Steve Beahan was the winnerwith 42 points, followed by Reg Mitchell in secondon 40 points and Jim Darch in third with 40 points(cb). In Division 2, John Barr scored 44 pointsbut could only finish second on countback to thismonth's winner, Robin Briggs. Anthony Mawson wasthird with 42 points.
The Seniors played away at Drayton Park on Monday10 April and suffered the first loss of the seasonby 4½ to 1½. Larry Blackwell and John Duffinhalved the Captain's match while the onlyKirtlington winners were Pete Milton and ChrisMcNulty. The next matches are both away, atCarswell and Cherwell Edge; please check thenotice board for details.
