Club news

The future is bright

Thank you to everyone who attended the Family Fun Day at Kirtlington Golf Club today. We had an amazing turnout with over 60 junior golfers attending! It was great to have U.S Kids Golf supporting this event with fun challenges and demo clubs on hand for everyone to try.

We would love to continue to support and encourage you and your family to play golf and will be providing various junior/family offers on the driving range, golf and membership throughout the year. To keep up to date with these offers and events, please follow us on Facebook, twitter and Instagram.

We have recently launched our new website which has a wealth of information about how to get into golf. We would also like to highlight that the club is open to everyone and you do not need to be a member to come and enjoy the facilities.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

It was a clean sweep for Kirtlington running out 3-0 winners. This result in the club’s first season back in the Scratch Competition sees them 2nd in the league!

Great scoring over the weekend!

On Saturday and Sunday it was the Gent’s Weekend Stableford with just under 100 players taking part across the 2 days!

On Sunday I was fortunate enough to witness a master class from Danny Roberts shooting 43 points off of an 8 handicap - some great golf played by Danny especially on the Back 9! Across the weekend there was some great scoring especially in Division 2 with Brian Boyes also posting an excellent 43 points and Paul Knight in Division 1 scoring 40 points in the strong winds on Saturday.

Here were the top 3 scores from each division:

Div 1: 1st Danny Roberts 43 Points 2nd Paul Knight 40 Points 3rd Stefan McGarry 39 Points.
Div 2: 1st Brian Boyes 43 Points 2nd Kevin Pyke 42 Points 3rd Gerrard Pearce 40 Points.
Div 3: 1st Nathan Deacon 41 Points 2nd Steven Jones 39 Points 3rd Paul Eadle 38 Points'

Seniors August Medal - Thursday 17th August

Congratulations to the winners Tony Whitlock (Division 1) with a nett 68 and Rod Whitfield (Division 2) with a great 66.

Beating slow play: if in doubt, play a provisional.

From a pace of play perspective, if there's any doubt at all as to whether or not you'll find your ball, you owe it to yourself and others to play a provisional.

you!

All you need to do is let us know the price you are looking for and we will display it in the Pro Shop.

The final full selling price will be transferred onto your member's card for you to use throughout the clubhouse. If you require more information, please ask in the pro shop.
