Seniors March Medal On Thursday 29th March a totalof 44 seniors defied the wet and windyconditions and took part in the monthly medal. GlenMarshall posted the lowest gross score of 79 and wonthe Division 1 on countback from Geoff Smailes. InDivision 2 Trevor Roberts (nett67) and GeordieMawson (69) were the only players to play belowhandicap. Full results were: - Division 1: 1st - GlenMarshall 79 – 8 71 (cb), 2nd - Geoff Smailes 83 – 1271, 3rd – Kevin Crumell 80 – 8 72 (cb) Division 2: 1st - TrevorRoberts 92 – 25 67, 2nd - Geordie Mawson 88 – 69,3rd – Bob Thiele 93 – 21 72 Senior Club Matches – The Seniors matcheshave started with two Home matches which resulted inone win for Kirtlington and one drawn match Kirtlington comprehensivelydefeated Silverstone gaining a 5.5 – 0.5 victory. Inthe Captains match Stuart Weston/Bill Keys won thefirst 4 holes and then repulsed a spirited comeback bySilverstone to finally win 3 and 2. The performance ofthe day came from birthday boy Graham Fullagar andPete Milton who demolished their opposition 8 and6. Other Kirtlington winners were Larry Blackwell/TonyWhitlock (4 and 3), Ian Gordon /Dave Musson (2 and I),and Peter French/Tony Bastable (2 and 1). Clarrie/MikeLisseter were held to a half in a match which seesawedbetween the two pairs. Against Witney Lakes the topthree matches went to Kirtlington but the Witney sidewere successful in the other three. In the Captainsmatch Stuart/ Dave Musson won 2 and 1 with LarryBlackwell/Mike Lisseter and Clarrie/Geoff Smailes bothwinning 3 and 2. All the other matches went to atleast the 17thgreen with both Pete Milton/ChrisMackenzie and Tony Bastable/Graham Ford losing 2 and 1and Jim Lodge/Gerry Shaw lost by one hole.
