CourseRecord almost achieved

Following on from his ClubChampionships victory Sam Chick almost matched thecourse record at the weekend with a magnificent gross66 (45 points). The round included 4 Birdies, 14 Parsand No Bogeys!

GentsCompetition Round-Up

A field of 97 players tookapart, amongst them there were some incredibly lowscores with 6 players achieving 40 Points or better.The CSS on Saturday was 38 Points and on Sunday 37Points.

Seniors ClubChampionship

On the 11 and 12th July GlenMarshall totally dominated the Seniors ClubChampionship winning both the Phil Jackson Trophy forthe best gross score and the Brian Turnball Cup forthe nett score. This was the first time this hadhappened since the inauguration of the Championship

On the Wednesday11th July Glen produced the best score with a 76 togive a nett score of 68. He led the gross competitionby 5 shots from Colin Walters. However in the firstround he managed only sixth place in the nettcompetition with Tony Whitlock leading the way with anett 65 followed by David Hughes and Roy Smith withnett 67s.

Glen continued on the secondday with a further 76 to give him a gross score of 152for the two rounds which gave him the Trophy by amassive 12 shots from Graham Kelly who posted an 80 onthe second round. In the nett contest Glens’ rivalfell away and he won the contest by one shot fromfirst round leader Tony Whitlock with Graham Fullagarthird after posting the best nett score 67 of the day.Full Results were:
