Timetunnel Take Titleist for example;you might have been lucky enough to own its905R driver way back in 2006. The 905Rfeatured a distinctive pear-shaped profile, with ashallow face set naturally square at address to boostconfidence at address. Like many of the drivers backthen, it had a titanium head which is a lot heavierthan what you'll find in today's drivers. The 905R isa classic club, and is certainly remembered withfondness. Fast-forward to the presentday, and Titleist has released its mosttechnologically advanced drivers to date in the formof TS2 and TS3. TheTS2 is designed for pure speed, with forgiveness andaccuracy across the face for straighter drives and amodern clubhead shape. The TS3 has a more classicdesign, and features an adjustable swing weight andcentre of gravity, making it easy to fit to yourswing. So,whilst it is nice to think about your first everdriver, it's probably time to get up to speed with thelatest models such as the TS2 or TS3. Who knows? Maybein another 10 years time, you'll be looking back onthe TS models with as much fondness as the 905R? |
