Embedded Ball

Any ball embedded in its own pitch mark in any rough area may be rolled out by up to one circumference of the ball but must not be rolled closer to the hole being played. The ball MAY NOT be cleaned.

Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
a) Beyond any fence or hedge bounding the course. b) Beyond the white posts left of 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th holes. Also, beyond the white posts right of the 13th and 17th holes when playing those holes. c) The Driving Range, Clubhouse, Car Park and the Paddock behind the 18th green as marked by white stakes.

2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
a) Water hazards as defined by yellow stakes. b) Lateral water hazards as defined by red stakes.

3. STAKED TREES (Rule 24-2)
If a staked or guyed tree or shrub interferes with the player's stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted and dropped within one clubs length of the nearest point of relief. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.

4. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24)
Stones in bunkers and black and white marker posts are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies). Line of sight relief may also be taken.

5. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-2)
All fixed sprinkler heads, drainage covers, ball washers, 150 yard marker stones, warning triangles and the white posts to the right of the 13th and 15th fairway are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken.

6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1)
All areas marked GUR and or bounded by blue stakes. Play is PROHIBITED in such areas and the player shall not play from or take his stance in such ground. Relief MUST be taken under rule 25-1. Relief may also be taken from tractor ruts and any damage to the course caused by drainage works which interferes with your stance or the lie of the ball.

7. INTEGRAL PART OF THE COURSE
The safety fences at the 14th and 15th holes and the sleeper wall at the 9th teeing area are deemed to be integral parts of the course. The ball should be played as it lies or declared unplayable under rule 28.

8. EMBEDDED BALL

9. CLUB ETIQUETTE RULE
Golfers MUST NOT enter neighbouring land to retrieve golf balls.

10. DISTANCE FINDERS (Rule 14-3)
In Mens and Seniors competition Play at this course, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.

Penalty for breach of local rule: Match Play - loss of hole; Stroke Play - 2 strokes
