Kirtlington Winter Open
Ourfirst Winter Open here at the club proved agreat success last Saturday with 40 playerstaking part in total - many thanks to our guestsfrom local clubs along with our own members forsupporting this event - this is something wewill look to repeat next year and hopefully growfurther.
Visitors on the day were from Buckingham,Drayton Park, North Oxford, Shrivenham Park,Silverstone, The Springs, Tilsworth and TheWychwood.
Throughout the day we had some excellentfeedback from our guests on the condition of thegreens and the course and how much they enjoyedit - this is great to hear and highlights allthe hard work put in by Brett and his team,Deputy Head Greenkeeper Steve Hironsupdates us later in the newsletter in his recentblog.
Following the golf and before the prize givingthere was an excellent rolling buffet which wasmuch needed to warm us all up after the round!
The overall winner in the members section bysome distance was Chris Kipwith a fantastic 42 points in difficultconditions, he was followed by SidHoughton in second place with37 points and in third with 36 points was DeclanKip.
In the Visitors section in first place was SteveHorsman from Buckingham with 38points followed in second place by TimTobin from The Wycwood with 35Points and in third place was BillKeys from Silverstone Golf Clubwith 34 Points. Nearest Pin prizes went to DeclanKip on the Par 3 16th and to RichardCarr who was Nearest the Pin in2 on 7th

Seniors January Medal
On Thursday, 28 January a total of 42 Seniorscompeted in the Monthly Medal. JimDarch had the lowest gross (80)and the lowest net (68) in winning Division 1.
