Juniorsteach the Gents a golfing lesson! 

For the second year running the juniors werevictorious in the Gents V's Juniors MatchplayPairs event winning 2-1 in the glorious Fridaysunshine!

Well done to everyone that took part - let's seeif the juniors can make it a hat trick nextyear! In the John Graham Trophy on Easter Mondaythis was won by Leon Sladewith 39 points, followed in second place by SachinGujral29 points and in third was DeclanKip with 28 points.

TGB Junior Golf Tour

Back on Sunday, 20 March we staged the TGBJunior Golf Tour proving to be a great success. 

The Elite (main course) winner was HuwPearson (pictured in navy blue)from Buckingham Golf Club and the Academy (Par3) winner was Oliver Kelloway(pictured in light blue) from Woburn Golf Club.

Goodbye to Tilly

Dear Members and Friends of Kirtlington, 

For those of you who haven't heard I'm very sadto say we had to say goodbye to Tilly lastweek. 

Iam genuinely touched by all your support, kindwords and lovely memories of Tilly, thank youall so much. Nala and Tilly have always beensuch a big part of our club, welcoming all ourmembers and guests. 

Luna, I'm sure will carry on the tradition andI'm so glad she had Tilly as a mentor in herstart to life. 

Luna and I will miss her very much, as I thinkwill so many people, she was such a greatcharacter with so many stories.

Leaderboard Live Scoring
 

Notice from Graham. You are now able to view theleaderboard from your home PC/Phone all the timethe competition is still open. 

Just open Master Scoreboard select 'MoreCompetitions' and then enter More Competitionswhere leaderboard appears for you to enter onthe word (Leaderboard). It does work!

The Professional Cup 

On Sunday 27th March we had 44 players bravingthe gusty conditions to play in the ProfessionalCup in this Par/Bogey Competition. The top 3scores on the day were as follows: 

First place was Gary Quainton 3 Up (Lowest Gross73), in second was Joel Thornett 2 Up and inthird place was Adam Smith 2 Up. 

The top 16 players overall with the highesttotal scores then progressed through to the nextstage being the Professions Cup KnockoutCompetition.

Seniors March Medal
 

On Thursday, 24 March a total of 52 seniors tookpart in the monthly Medal. Graham Kelly won thelowest gross and the Division 1. 

Full Results were: 

Div. 1 

1st - Graham Kelly(77 - 10) 67, 2nd - John McHarg(83 - 13) 70 and 3rd - Kevin Crumell(79 - 9) 70 

Div. 2 

1st - Ray Brooks(91 - 24) 67, 2nd - Chris McNulty(87 - 19) 68 and 3rd Laurie Welford(90 - 21) 69 

Senior Club Matches

The Seniors welcomed Witney Lakes as their firstofficial fixture of the season. 

Most matches were close with four being decidedon the 17th green. Kirtlington ran out thewinners 4 - 2 with wins for Clarrie/Larry,Pete/Gerry, Chris/Graham and Stuart/Mike. 

There are sign up match-sheets on the SeniorsNoticeboard for matches in April against DraytonPark, Carswell and Cherwell Edge.  

Summer Competitions

All these are competitions for which you must bequalified to enter; qualification means that youhave entered at least 2 competitions (club orseniors) in the three months prior to theclosing date.
