Captains Day 2016
A great day was had by all in StanGreen's Captain Day with 56 golfers with manymore attending the evening buffet and LineDancing!
£528 wasraised on the day for the Sue Ryder Charity.Stan would like to say a huge thank you toeveryone taking part and also for the help fromhis daughter Joanne and Mum Edna.
Onthe day double Point Flag Positions werepositioned on 5, 8, 16 and the toughest of themall on the 18th which was located in the topright corner of the green which made forinteresting viewing to those already finished!
There was a particularly tricky 16th Green flagposition on the slope as shown in the picture.
Here were the results:
Gents 1st Place and overall winner was SteveBeahan 44 points scoring 20points on the 5 double point holes!
In 2nd wearing the craziest trousers of the daywas Paul Knightalso scoring 44 Points and in 3rd place RyanHunt 43 points.
Nearest Pin was won by John Parsons& Longest Drive Derek Thomas.
In the Ladies section 1st JackieThompson 30 points, in 2nd wasChristine Clark28 Points and in 3rd MargaretMoggridge 28 Points.
Nearest Pin was won by MargaretMoggridge and Longest Drive wasWendy Moggridge.
In the Junior category in 1st Place was DeclanKip with 34 Points followed in2nd place by Izzy Edwardsand in 3rd was Leon Slade.
Nearest the pin was Izzy Edwardsand Longest Drive Declan Kip.In the Putting Competition this was won by ShaunEadle.
The Kirtlington Fete
Despite the rain showers fun was had by all thefamily trying out the fun golf activities atthis year's Kirtlington Fete!
Although I'm not sure if it was the adults orthe youngsters who were the more competitivewhen playing the target golf competitions wehad!
Lots of new faces that we hope to see visitingthe club soon.

FamousPartridge
In the Famous Partridge on Sunday LeoKennedy was the overall winnerwith an excellent 42 points.
In Division 1 Anton Vircavswas 1st with 39 points, in 2nd place was AndyChick with 36 points and in 3rdwas Jimmy Summerswith 35 points. In Division 2 TrevorGraham was victorious with 39points followed in 2nd place by GrahamBrown with 37 points and in 3rdwas Clive Moggridgewith 36 points.
A big well done to young MarkosCarr with a fantastic 41 pointswinning Division 3, in 2nd place was KerryWilce with 40 points and in 3rdwas Alberto Barracloughwith 37 points.

Ladies Stableford
In the Ladies Stableford last Tuesday this waswon by Sandra Chamberlainwith 35 points followed by JackieThompson in second place with34 Points.
In the Strawberry Teas Stableford Competition onTuesday there were 19 players in total with LindaBreaker the overall winner on32 points beating Pam Saleon count back who finished runner-up also on 32points.
Seniors Report
Seniors June Medal
On Thursday 23rd June a total of 57 seniors tookpart in the monthly Medal.
The outstanding performance was by former Cluband Seniors Captain Graham Fullagarwho posted a net 63. Full Results were:
Div. 1 1st Reg Mitchell79 - 12 67, 2nd John McHarg82 - 13 69, 3rd Stephen Beahan81 - 12 69.
Div. 2 1st GrahamFullagar 84 - 21 63, 2nd AnthonyMawson 89 - 22 67, 3rd PeterWood 90 - 22 68.
Senior Club Matches
Unfortunately the home game against AylesburyVale was postponed as thecourse was closed, hopefully the return fixturewill be played this week.

Senior Roll - Up
On June 16th the Roll up was won by RobBruce who scored 43 points. TheJuly roll up is on the 11th July - start 9.00am(sign in by 8.45 am) - sign-up sheet on theNoticeboard.
Senior Captains Day
This takes place on 4th July, will take the formof a Texas Scramble - two tee start between 10 -11.00 am. A raffle will be held to help with thepurchase of the Defibrillator - prizes toClarrie please.
