I hope you've all had a fantastic week both onand off the golf course and enjoying theglorious weather! Welcome to another edition ofthe KGC weekly newsletter bringing you up todate with all the latest news from the club. 

In this newsletter we have plenty to update youon with new arrivals in the Pro Shop, upcomingcompetition news and much more. 

We start this edition with Senior CaptainClarrie's report on their Club Championship anda playoff being required to determine the Nettwinner!

Senior section 

Senior Championship 

This annual 36 hole competition was played onthe 21/22 July for the Phil Jackson Cup(Scratch) and the Brian Turnball Trophy (Nett). 

After the first day Chris Myallled the scratch competition with 81 with twoplayers one shot behind, GrahamKelly and GlenMarshall. The outstandingperformance was from Ray Brookswho scored 85 off a 24 handicap for a net 61 tolead the Nett competition. 

On the second day in the scratch competition GlenMarshall dominated scoring a 79to win overall by 6 strokes from KevinCrumell. The nett completionwas a closer affair with 17 players being within3 shots of the lead and there was a four way tiewith Marshall, ChrisBasson, MikeBoniface and StuartWeston scoring nett 143. In the4 hole play-off a very steady performance from ChrisBasson was enough to win thecompetition.

1st Glen Marshall(pictured with senior captain Clarrie) 161, 2ndKevin Crumell167, 3rd Graham Kelly168 

Brian Turnball Trophy 

1st Chris Basson143 (after play-off), 2nd MikeBoniface, 3rd StuartWeston.

Seniors July Medal 

On Monday, 25 July a total of 60 seniors tookpart in the monthly Medal. In a low scoring daythe best net result was from PhilWigmore who carded a net 64whilst Seniors champion Glen Marshallcarded the best gross score of 76.

Senior Club Matches

The Match sheet for the home Matches againstDrayton and Magnolia are on the noticeboard aswell as the away Match at Radley- pleasesign-up.

The next roll up is on Monday, 15 August-sign-up sheet on the Noticeboard. 

Other Competition News 

On Sunday the Captains Cup GreensomesStroke Play there were 18 pairstaking part, the overall winners were thepairing of Marcos & Richard Carr with anexcellent Nett 63, followed in second place bySid Houghton & Pete Milton with Nett 66 andin third place was Mark Ellis & TrevorGraham with a Nett 67.

SrixonBall Fitting Day 

There are limited spaces available for the FREE20 minute Ball Fitting sessions on Wednesday10th August 4pm to 7pm, if all slots are filledthen we get allocated one extra hour from 7pm to8pm. 

These sessions are professionally fitted by UKFitting Technician Martin Conner. 

To book a 20 minute appointments please ask inthe Pro Shop to reserve your slot. For thefitting just bring along your current driver andball choice with you!

Calculated as follows: (lower handicap x 0.6) +(higher handicap x 0.4). 

If handicaps of a pair are equal then this willbe half the combined handicap.
