I hope you've all had a great week on and offthe golf course and welcome to another editionof the KGC Weekly Newsletter bringing you up todate with all the latest news from the club.
Winter Open
ThisSunday we stage our Third Winter Open of theseason, interest once again has been impressivefrom both Members and Visitors with morefantastic voucher prizes set to be up for grabs!

On the subject of Winter opens a group of usfrom the club including myself, JackStevens,Nick Humphreysand Member Paul Allenentered and participated in the IndividualWinter Open at the Belfry's Brabazon Course onTuesday.
This was a great day out which we would highlyrecommend especially if you would like to testyourself on a very challenging ChampionshipCourse, this was also terrific value!
Supplementary Score Ruling Update
It's been great to see so many players stillsubmitting supplementary rounds recently. Aplayer intending to return a Supplementary Scoreis required to signify this intention prior tocommencement of play. You can do this by signingthe black book that is kept behind reception inthe Pro Shop.
On completion of your round the card goes in theScorecard Box also in the Pro Shop. There hasbeen some updates to this along with theprocedure should a players card not be processedfor handicap by the time they play in the nextstroke play competition. Lots of competitions have taken place inthe last week at the club:
Ladies Stableford Tuesday 20th Feb had 20players participating. The overall winner was JudithCarr 42 points, with JackieThompson runner up on 38 points Ladies Weekend Stableford 18th & 19th Febhad 13 players taking part. The overall winnerwas Barbara Williams36 points, with Margaret Moggridge35 points.
In the Gents Weekend Stableford 18th & 19thwe had possibly the best weather and courseconditions of the year so far with scorescertainly reflecting this and 100 players takingpart across the 2 days! Top 3 divisional Results were:
Div 1: 1st Andrew Smith42pts, 2nd Richard Kershaw41pts, 3rd Clive Dickenson41pts Div 2: 1st BrianBoyes 46pts, 2nd JohnParsons 41pts, 3rd MarkEdgar 40pts Div 3: 1st Ian Beeson44pts, 2nd Ian Taylor40pts, 3rd Pat Curley40pts

In the Gents Midweek Stableford Wednseday 15thhad 26 players taking part, this was wonconvincingly by Leo Kennedyon 41pts, runner up was Mike Price38pts and in third place was SamChick on 37 points.
As it was Half Term Week the juniors had a ThreeClub Challenge with Markos Carrwinning this with an impressive 35 pointsfollowed in second place by Izy Edwards 34points.

Senior Roll-Up
On Thursday 16 February 36 seniors took part inthe monthly roll-up which took the form of a 3person team Texas Scramble. In a verycompetitive morning Peter Milton, Graham Fordand Laurie Bryant won with an impressive 58.3.Full results were:

16th March - monthly roll-up - sign-up sheet onthe board 24th March Seniors Dinner - menus and sign up onthe board. Seniors Team Shirts - a list is on the board forteam players who do have a shirt - maximum cost£20 if10 orders are made ( £29.50after the event). Matches begin in March.
