We begin this week with the SeniorsReport from Clarrie:
John and Joe
It is with a touch sadness that the seniors areabout to say goodbye to two stalwarts of thesection. John Stephens and Joe Sharp at the ageof 87 have finally decided to call time on theirmembership of the club. They have been a regularfeature of Monday and Thursday mornings for manyyears and although they had begun to find ithard to play 18 holes continued to play thefront nine.
Two real gentlemen will be missed by thesection, John was captain of Dulwich Golf Clubin a previous golf life playing off a handicapof 2 while Joe was an RAF pilot. Hopefully wemay still see them playing the Blenheim fromtime to time.

Here are some important updates passed onfollowing the Committee meeting on Sunday:
Gents section summer knockout competitions, please not the closing date for entries is12.00pm 19/03/2017. This is to allow extra timein the early part of the competitions when thereare a lot of different matches to be played.
In connection with the Gents section monthlycompetitions, the prize structure has beenchanged with effect from 01/03/2017. Noticesabout this are on the notice board for all toread. With all Gents monthly and trophycompetitions the general rules state all entryfees shall be paid at the same time as reservinga competition tee time or placing name oncompetition entry sheets. The issue of pace ofplay does unfortunately regularly feature atcommittee meetings. There are detailed noticeson the notice board of all sections and can befound on the R&A site. In particular: Playat Good Pace and Keep Up.
Players should play at a good pace.
It is a group's responsibility to keep up withthe group in front. If it loses a clear hole andit is delaying the group behind, it shouldinvite the group behind to play through, irrespective of the number of players in thatgroup. Where a group has not lost a clear hole, but it is apparent that the group behind canplay faster, it should invite the faster movinggroup to play through. Players should be readyto play as soon as it is their turn to play.
GreensMaintenance
On Monday all 27 greens over-seeded and topdressed with a straight sand mix. New topdresser was demonstrated and left with us to tryfor the day! Impressive piece of kit and saved alot of time. Check out the video below.
