I hope you've all had a great week on and off the golfcourse and welcome to another edition of the KGCWeekly Newsletter bringing you up to date with all thelatest news from the club.

In thepenultimate email of 2017 we begin this week with theSeniors Texas Scramble which was held on Monday –thanks Clarrie for the report and photos taken by Ian,Lauren and Pam.

SeniorsTexas Scramble

On Monday 4th DecemberSeniors were seen wearing Christmas costumes, funnyhats and a Payne Stewart lookalike outfit as they tookpart in the annual pre-Christmas Texas scrambleplaying for meat prizes given by the Senior Captainand Vice-Captain Stuart Weston and Dave Musson. Atotal of 56 seniors (a record) forming 14 teams tookpart in the day. In a low scoring tournament the finalwinners scored an excellent nett 61. Full resultswere: -

1st Peter French, SimonSaxton, Peter Wood, Jim Lodge, 2nd Geoff Smailes, MikeLisseter, David Hughes, Keith Pashley 3rd GrahamKelly, Les Holmes, Steve Hayes, Richard Brain.

The very popular winner ofthe best Christmas Costume was les Knight (the beardneeded some attention), Ray Brooks won the nearest thepin on the 16th and the team of Glen Marshall, RayBrooks, Al Cubley and Derek Knowlden won nearest thepin in 2 on the 7th.

Afterthe competition the seniors held a raffle which raised£325which will be the main source of Charity monies thesenior section will distribute over the coming year.Thanks to all those who donated prizes andparticipated.
