For theWeekend there is a 2's Competition running £2 entry onthe Saturday which includes both rounds!

OxfordUnited Players on the Main Course

LastThursday we welcomed Oxford United players RyanLedson, Alex Mowatt, Joe Rothwell & past memberJosh Ruffles ahead of their 1-0 win victory atDoncaster Rovers on Saturday. A round of golf musthave been good preparation before the big game!

Gents

In the gents re-arrangedFriday Midweek Stableford scoring was some of thelowest of the year so far! In total 45 players tookpart in fantastic conditions. The Top 3 were: 1st BeauSpencer 45 Pts 2nd James Broadhead 42 Pts 3rd IanGordon 40 Pts (CB)

On Sunday it was the JohnBatten Memorial combined pairs Stableford competitionand 35 teams taking part. The winning score with acombined 78 Pts was the pairing of Leon & PaulSlade finishing 1 point ahead of Pete Milton &Chris Myall with 77 Pts in 3rd place was Martin &Ray Cross with 72 Pts.

The Gents played in aFriendly Match at North Oxford losing 4-1, the winningteam was Josh & Tim Berrrie winning their match3&1

The Central 7’s Blue Teambegan their season at home to Naunton Downes Golf Clubgoing down 5.5 to 1.5. The winning player for theBlues being Giulio Viglieno and gaining a half wasJimmy Summers.

SeniorClub Matches

The Seniors have played twoaway matches this week both of which Kirtlington lost.Against Carswell Stuart Weston and Larry Blackwell wonthe Captains match 5 and 3, the other Kirtlingtonwinners were Graham Fullagar/ Peter Milton who posteda 5 and 4 victory.  Arguably the performance of theday came from Roy Smith who with Jim Lodge were 4shots down when Jim was called away. Roy pulled thegame back to all square only to lose the 17th for anarrow loss. The overall score in the match was  4 – 2to Carswell.

Against Cherwell EdgeKirtlington lost 4.5 – 1.5. Clarrie Haynes/ PeterFrench were the Kirtlington winners (3 and 2) whilstTony Bastable/Bill Brown achieved a half in theirmatch.

Competitions– the senior winter competitions have now beencompleted with Graham Ford collecting the honours. Inthe Winter League (singles) he defeated Robin Briggsin the final and then joined up with Stuart Weston todefeat John Parsons and Bill Keys in the Token Jesture(Greensome Pairs).
