It's been another actionpacked week at the golf club! We begin this editionwith a big thank you to all who attended our FamilyFun Day and Girls Golf Rocks last Saturday.

We were delighted to welcome once again in excess of100 juniors to the event and it was fantastic to seethem having such a great time.

The Junior Members were a great help and promoted theclub excellently, along with the outstanding work fromour volunteers including Matt Gregor, SandraChamberlain and Chris Kip along with Morag &Simon.

Ifanyone would like to help and get involved in thesefuture events please let us know, here are some photosfrom the day below.

KirtlingtonOpen Charity Golf Day

Last Thursday itwas the Kirtlington Open Charity Golf Day inaid of Helen & Douglas House.

On the day weraised just under £1,700.

Welldone and thank you to all those that tookpart on the day and for everyone’sgenerosity in the raffle and auction bidder.

At a very hot Bicester GolfClub in the Girls Spring Meeting on Bank HolidayMonday Ellie Mitchell shot a brilliant 42 pointsfinishing second on count back.

In theJunior Match on Sunday Junior Team was at home toBurford. Burford won on the day 3-0. Well done to allthose that took part.

Well done to the ladies whowon their Bronze Match V’s Wychwood GC match last week4-1.

On Tuesday the ladies alsoplayed their re-arranged match against Tadmarton Heathlosing 3 ½ - 1 ½. 

In the Ladies WeekendStableford this was won by Ruth Marshall with 33points, in second place was Sarah Fisher 25 Points.

In theLadies Stableford on Tuesday this was won by MargaretMoggridge 34 points, 2nd was Jane Shaw 33 points andin 3rd Judith Carr 32 points.

Well done to the GentsWinter League pairs winners for 2017/18 the team ofGed Mills & Chris McKechnie winning a very closematch on the 2nd Extra Hole against Richard Butler& Phil McIntyre. Congratulations Ged & Chris.

Seniors report

Memorialtrophy

OnMonday 14th May the seniors played intheir Memorial Trophy remembering fiveseniors who have passed away during the lastyear, Ron Hawke, Jim Wood, Sid Houghton,John Raw and John Barr. On the day theseniors were joined by members of thefamilies of Jim , Ron and John Barr, withthe two sons of Ron playing as guests in themain competition.

In the 9 holeindividual completion played on the BlenheimPete Milton won with a score of 28, winningby one shot from Geoff Smailes and TrevorRoberts.
