Ladies news

Ladies Weekend Stableford

It was a weekend of incredible scoring in both gents and ladies competitions! We begin this week’s edition with news of an Albatross 2 in the weekend ladies Stableford!

In the ladies weekend Stableford Izy Edwards posted 43 points (69 gross) finishing her round with an albatross 2 on the par 5 18th! In 2nd place was Elaine Hunt 31 Pts and in 3rd was Jackie Thompson 29 Pts.

Ladies Tuesday Stableford

On Tuesday in the Ladies Stableford 14 players took part with this being decided on countback, 1st place was Linda Breaker 35 Pts (CB last 9 holes) 2nd Pam Sale 35 Pts 3rd Jackie Thompson 32 Pts (CB)

Gents news

Gents Stableford

In the Gents Stableford a field of 103 players took part across Saturday and Sunday with a spectacular 45 points being achieved by Rob Alexander as overall winner, another notable score at the weekend was Nolan Aselford with a cracking 41 Points winning division 1! (CSS Saturday 38Pts & Sunday 37Pts).

Top 3 across the 3 divisions:

Division 1:

1st - Nolan Aselford - 41 Pts.
2nd - Tom Stevens - 40 Pts (CB).
3rd - George Slater - 40 Pts.

Division 2:

1st - Rob Alexander - 45 Pts.
2nd - Ashley Cawte - 39 Pts (CB).
3rd - Andy Chick - 39 Pts.

Division 3:

1st - Steve Booker - 39 Pts (CB last 9 holes).
2nd - John Aslett - 39 Pts.
3rd - Stuart Jeggo - 38 Pts (CB).

Junior Free Coaching

Our Junior Full-Members can sign up to FREE coaching being provided by our PGA Professional Andy Taylor.

The next session is on Saturday 9th February, please add your name to the sheet on the Junior Notice board or pop into the pro shop.

The first one of these is this Saturday 12th January 3pm-4pm.

Seniors news

Seniors January Roll Up

26 very hardy souls turned up despite the very poor weather conditions to play in the monthly roll-up on Thurs 10th January. The players were faced with frozen snow on the course for the first few holes and then played in a biting northerly for the rest of the round. Playing a par/bogey competition only Stuart Weston managed to beat the course.

Full Results were: -

1st - Stuart Weston - 2 Up.
2nd - Geordie Mawson - 1 Down (cb).
3rd - Peter Jolly - 1 Down (cb).

Seniors Dinner - March 15th

The Seniors Annual Dinner has been arranged for this date. Look out for further details on menus and price etc which will be coming soon.

The Pro Shop Lottery Bonus Ball - Next Draw is THIS SATURDAY

The next draw will be Saturday 26th January and the rules are simple...

£1 Entry.
Pick a Square add name to a number on the grid.
On the National Lottery draw on the Saturday night, whatever number the Bonus Ball is on the main draw is the winning square.
The member that has their name in that square wins 15 x Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls.
