Kirtlington Charity Open - Thursday, 9 May When my grandson Oscar died unexpectedly in 2014, the responses of friends in the Senior Section and the staff here made me realise that this really is a CLUB and not just a place where we come to play golf. Now I am grateful again to the club for choosing Thinking of Oscar as the charity for this year’s Charity Open competition on Thursday, 9 May. Thinking of Oscar was formed by my daughter Hannah and her husband soon after Oscar died. Its aim is to make lives better for children in the Children’s Hospital at the JR and is promoting innovation in paediatric care in Oxford and in children’s hospitals around the country. Hannah, David and all our family hope that you will join in and enjoy the event and help Thinking of Oscar achieve more of its aims in future. Jim Briden.
