Who took the bragging rights?

On Monday, it was our first 9-Hole Challenge of the winter. This was an individual 9-Hole Stableford competition played on the front-9 of the Main Course. Thank you to the 20 players that took part. The winning score on countback was Pete Milton on 19 points.

Top three scores all receiving vouchers were:

- 1st Pete Milton - 19 points CB (£25 voucher) Pete also got a birdie two on the 4th to win the birdie money!
- 2nd Chris Kip - 19 points (£15 voucher).
- 3rd David Musson - 18 points (£10 voucher).

Captain's Drive-In Reminder - Sunday, 8 December

- 12.30pm – Drive-In.
- 12.45pm – 9 Hole Golf Competition (Shotgun Start).
- 2.45pm - Followed by Soup and Crusty Roll.
- PRESENTATION OF GOLF PRIZES.
- 3.15pm – Visit from Santa and Tea Party (For children aged 10 years and under).
- 3.30pm – Junior Trophy Presentation.
- 3.45pm – Christmas Draw.

Seniors report

Seniors AGM

On Wednesday, 13 November, the Senior Section held its AGM at the clubhouse attended by 24 members. Reports were given by the retiring captain David Musson and by the Treasurer and the Secretary of the section. All agreed that the Seniors had enjoyed a successful year. Roy Smith was elected as the Senior Captain for 2019/20 but at present, we do not have a vice-captain in place.

For 2019/20 the Senior Committee is as follows:

- Captain Roy Smith Vice-Captain TBC Secretary Gerry Shaw.
- Treasurer Clarrie Haynes.
- Fixtures Secretary Jim Lodge.

Crows On The Course

Procedure if crow takes your ball:

Firstly, you must see the Crow take your ball, you cannot presume. You must then drop (through the Green) or place on the green under NO PENALTY. If the ball has disappeared and you did NOT see a Crow take it, then you play from the original spot under penalty.

Water In Bunkers

The correct procedure is:

If there is a dry patch in the bunker and this is no nearer to the hole, then you may drop the ball at this point under NO Penalty. If there is no dry point you may play as it lies no penalty or you must drop out of the bunker under Penalty of one Stroke, or play from the original spot under one penalty.
