At the weekend, numbers reached 80 players across the two days for the Gents Club Championships! The winner of the Glen Andrews Quaich (Lowest Gross) for the third time was Sandy Bolton. Sandy shot a two-under 68 on Saturday followed by a one-under 69 on Sunday for a 137 total.

Presidents Cup (Lowest Nett) winner was Murray Scott, Murray posted a fantastic nett 64 on Saturday followed by a nett 69 on Sunday for a 133 total.

Senior's Club Championships

In the Senior's Section, weather across the two days could not have been more contrasting, from a scorching Wednesday to heavy rain on Thursday. In his first Senior Club Championships, Hilton Scott led back to back shooting a 76 on the Wednesday followed by an 82 on Thursday for a 158 total to win by two clear shots ahead of the previous champion for the last two years Glenn Marshall.

In the nett section, Frank Kelly was extremely consistent posting a 68 on the Wednesday and 67 on the Thursday for a five-under 135 total.

It's great to see

Golf is going through a great period at the moment with lots of people taking the chance to play. One thing you'll notice is the number of golfers using an electric trolley to carry their clubs around the course, so we thought we'd highlight a couple of our favourites in this week's email.
