No two golfers are the same

For many of us golf lovers, it’s the best week of the year as the world’s top players head to Augusta National to compete for a green jacket. Arguably the most famous golf course in the world, it’s always glorious to catch The Masters on TV and see all the drama unfold at Augusta.

Naturally, a huge part of what makes The Masters so enjoyable is the level of golf on display. The players swing the club so effortlessly, yet generate incredible power. And the control they have over the golf ball is something else entirely.

It’s easy to watch players like Scottie Scheffler and focus on how different his swing looks. The footwork, the movement, the way it all comes together.

Then you’ve got players like Bubba Watson, who generate power in their own unique way, or Jim Furyk, whose swing looks unlike anything you’d ever teach… yet works.

And that’s the point.

Every single one of them swings it differently, but they’ve all found something that works for them.

It’s worth asking yourself when you’re watching this week, what kind of swing do you actually relate to? And more importantly, what works for your game?

One of the biggest mistakes golfers make is trying to copy something that doesn’t suit them, whether that’s from TV or something they’ve seen online.

We all move differently. Different builds, different strengths, different limitations. So expecting your swing to look like someone else’s, especially a tour player, is only going to make the game harder than it needs to be.

This is where having the right guidance makes a real difference. As a team of PGA Professionals, we’re here to help you understand your game properly and work on the areas that will actually move you forward this season.

Your clubs

The same applies to your equipment. The clubs you use should suit your game, not the other way around. Length, shaft, lie, grip… all of it plays a part in how consistently you can strike the ball.

When it’s right, the game feels easier. When it’s not, you’re constantly compensating without even realising it.

A proper custom fitting gives you that clarity. We’ll get a clear picture of your swing, your tendencies, and guide you towards equipment that actually helps you play better.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on your grips. Over time they wear down and lose their texture, which can lead to tension in your hands and less control through impact.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or you’ve only had your hands on golf clubs a handful of times, we’re here to guide you into playing better and having more fun.
