It has been another busy week or so with competitions, and there was some fantastic golf being played with some very impressive scores. See below for the full competition results:

Summer Open Series 3

On Sunday, a total of 89 players took part in Summer Open Series 3 along with visitors from Brent Valley GC (London) and Pyrford Golf Club (Woking) also taking part.

A big well done to Junior Member Bethany Steventon scoring an excellent 43 points!

Top 3 across the divisions all receiving Pro Shop Vouchers:

• Div 1: Todd Parker Hunt (10) 39 Pts 2^nd Sandy Bolton (-1) 37 Pts (CB) 3^rd Mark du Plessis (9) 37 Pts.
• Div 2: Bethany Steventon (44) 43 Pts 2^nd Wes Rankin (14) 38 Pts 3^rd Dave Powell (21) 36 Pts.
• Visitor Winner: Louis Hunting (25) Pyrford Golf Club 36 Pts.

In the order of Merit, Tom Moore leads the way on 106 points just one point ahead of Sandy Bolton.

The next summer opens 4 & 5 are on Friday, 28 and Saturday, 29 May, which is now open for entry via the IG App. There will also be a 2’s rollover going into Summer Open 4 with £58 in the pot.

Ladies Competitions

Victor Ludorum Trophy - Saturday, 8/Tuesday, 11 May (15 players)

The top 3 were:

• 1^st Rita Murray Nett 68.
• 2^nd Jackie Thompson Nett 75.
• 3^rd Linda Walton Nett 76.

Ladies Weekend Stableford (9 players)

The top 3 were:

• 1^st Diane Hobbs 38 Points.
• 2^nd Linda Breaker 27 Points (CB).
• 3^rd Pam Sale 27 Points.

Ladies Stableford - Tuesday, 11 May (9 players)

The top 3 were:

• 1^st Val Eadle 34 Points.
• 2^nd Sandra Chamberlain 30 Points.
• 3^rd Jane Shaw 28 Points.

Senior Competitions

Thursday, 6 May: Seniors Stableford

75 players entered this month’s Stableford competition. Many players struggled in the conditions, although the winning scores were as high as they usually are.

The prize winners were:

• Division 1: 1st - Laurie Bryant (39 pts), 2nd - John McHarg (37 pts), 3rd - Roy Smith (35 pts).
• Division 2: 1st - Chris McNulty (38 pts), 2nd - Cliff Moss (38 pts), 3rd - Simon Saxton (37 pts).
